Unit 5: The Business Introduction Power Point Presentation:
This assignment is to be used as a way to introduce your own unique company to the world...okay to the class. Remember, there is only 1 chance to make a "first impression"! So I want to see a lot of effort put into this project. Whenever you are using a program that utilizes several different types of media (text, photos, clip art, word art etc.) it is a great chance to let the creative juices flow, and put your individual stamp on a project!
THE ASSIGNMENT:
Using MS POWER POINT, create a 6 slide presentation that will "introduce" your business. This slide show should contain animation within the slides, and should advance automatically from slide to slide (once it is started, it will run on its own). Save your presentation on the F: (labwork) drive under the appropriate period. If you need help locating this drive, let me know. The presentation is to be saved as "IntroLaugen.ppt". You will replace "Laugen" with your last name.

Slide One: "Presenting Petey's Fish Taco Stand "--This slide will have a background, your company name, and your business logo. This is the first time people will see your company...make a strong effort here! |

Slide Two: "Owner / Proprietor:" --This would be YOU! This slide will have the same background as the first slide, and will include your business name and logo. Also you will include a digital photo of yourself! This can either be a photo we take in class with the "FlexCam" or a favorite photo that you bring from home that we can scan on to a disk here. Also, you should include a small bio of yourself. This will include your educational accomplishments, your past business successes, your awards won, etc. (YES!...this can be made up!) |

Slide Three: "Product / Service Explanation"--This slide will have the same background as the other two, and will also include your business name and logo. This slide will contain the mission statement of your business...In addition, it will contain 3 samples of the products or services you sell, and a dollar price for each. (You might want to show some of your competitors prices for the same product or service here.) |

Slide Four: "5 Reasons to Dine at Petey's Fish Taco Stand"--This slide will have the same background as the other two, and will also include your business name and logo. This slide will contain 5 reasons why a potential customer would want to shop at your business rather than a competitor's. Can't think of 5?? Well, you won't be in business long!! |
| Slide Five: "Our Business Information"--This slide will have the same background as the others, and will also include your business name and logo. This slide will contain your business address, phone number, fax number, and website address (which will be made-up at this point). It will also give directions using major cross-streets. |

Slide Six: "Our Motto / We Hope to See You Soon!"--This slide will have the same background as the others, and will also include your business name and logo. This slide will contain your company motto. Nike's motto is "Just Do It!". Pepsi's motto is "Pepsi, for those who think young.". What "catch phrase" will your business have that will bring your store to the front of people's minds whenever they hear it? |
Your presentation can have MORE than six slides. but no less.
